If you are using the web app for Smartsheet, ensure your browser clipboard settings are configured correctly.
Giving your browser access to the clipboard allows you to copy and paste data when working on the Smartsheet web app.
If you have deactivated the browser permission to copy and paste, you might see this error when trying to perform the action:

Use the following steps to ensure you allow clipboard permissions for your browser.
The Smartsheet app works best on Chrome and Microsoft Edge. If you’re working with sheets with over 5,000 rows, use either Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Learn more about Smartsheet system configurations.
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome browser settings.
- Select Privacy & Security > Site Settings.
- Select Additional Permissions.
- Select Clipboard.
- Next to Allowed to see your clipboard, select Add.
- Enter https://smartsheet.com
- Select Save.
Microsoft Edge
- Open the Smartsheet web app.
- Select the lock icon in the address bar
- Select Permissions for this site.
- Toggle the Clipboard setting to Allow.
